Welcome to SFNYC
SFNYC is a small network for people who split their time between San Francisco and New York. It started as a group thread, and we add one class a year.
We are early. The 2026 class is the second one. We keep each class small on purpose, so the gatherings stay good and people actually meet.
Two cities, one network.
Some of our favorite people are never in just one place. They keep an apartment in SoMa and a stoop in Brooklyn, a Tuesday in Hayes Valley and a Thursday in the East Village. They would rather not have to choose, and honestly, neither would we.
SFNYC is built for that. We host gatherings in both cities and make introductions across them, so a flight to the other coast lands a little softer.
What membership is
| Gatherings in both cities | Small gatherings in San Francisco and New York through the year: park hangs, trips, bar meetups, the occasional dinner. Getting together is the main thing we do. |
|---|---|
| Introductions | Warm introductions between members across both coasts, when there is a real reason to make them. |
| A role you name | Everyone gives themselves a role in SFNYC, the part you play in the network. It is yours to shape, and we ask for it when you apply. |
| A class to belong to | You join with a cohort and stay part of the network after your year. |
| A group thread | An ongoing conversation between members. Low noise, occasionally useful. |
The 2026 class
We are accepting applications through July 31, 2026. We read every one. If it feels like a fit, we will reach out for a short conversation.

Questions
- Who is the 2026 class for?
- People who genuinely spend time in both San Francisco and New York, building things or backing them. We care less about where you are from than about how you move between the two.
- How big is each class?
- Small, for now. We would like it to be bigger and more open over time. We just want the experience to learn how to grow without losing what makes it good.
- Is there a fee?
- No. If that ever changes, we will say so plainly.
- I only live in one city. Can I still apply?
- Yes, if you genuinely travel between San Francisco and New York through the year. The network is built around that movement.
